Ian Stewart enjoyed quite a homecoming Tuesday night. Stewart, who set season records in nearby Orange County for home runs (16) and RBIs (61) as a senior at La Quinta High five years ago, homered and drove in a career-high five runs, and the Colorado Rockies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-3 for their fourth straight victory.

Matt Holliday played in his third straight All-Star Game this year. He's the defending batting champion in the National League and his .339 average ranks third in the league, giving him a realistic possibility of earning consecutive batting titles.

And Holliday is on the verge of an accomplishment that will put him in select company in Rockies' history. He has 19 stolen bases and 23 home runs, putting Holliday one steal away from the fifth season in franchise history with 20 homers and 20 stolen bases.

Dante Bichette did it twice, with 21 steals and 27 homers in 1994 and 31 steals and 31 homers in 1996. Ellis Burks had 32 steals and 40 homers in 1996. And Larry Walker was the last Rockies player to reach the 20/20 milestone when he had 33 steals and 49 homers in 1997 and...
